Referring to this, Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, and MP Tourism Board MD said that to experience the thrill of flying like birds in the sky, the golden opportunity of sky diving will now be available at Bhopal and Ujjain.
He further added that they will be organising a sky diving camp on March 1 and 2 in Bhopal whereas from March 3 to 6, it will be held in Ujjain in collaboration with Pioneer Flying Academy, Aligarh, for the first time in the state.
As per the reports, the camps will be set up near the Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal and the airstrip in Ujjain, from where interested tourists will get the opportunity to dive from a height of 10000 ft.
Shukla added that till date, adventure lovers had to go outside the country to experience skydiving. While in India, this facility is available only at Narnaul in Haryana, the tourism board in Madhya Pradesh will now provide the facility of skydiving to tourists at low fees with the highest standards of safety measures, he added.
He also informed that the aircraft will be used for skydiving is registered with the Directorate of Civil Aviation.
