If you are looking for a traditional hotel and a chain that is recognised worldwide, the Glasgow Marriot is an excellent choice for a mid-range hotel. Located just about 15 min from the main city centre, the area is a little quieter than the centre of town if that is what you are looking for. This large hotel features 300 rooms, which range from basic queen rooms to suites that include access to an inclusive lounge full of food and drink. You will have to pay extra for Wi-Fi if you want it in your room although complimentary tea and coffee along with a small desk and chair are found in all the rooms. There is a nice fitness centre that actually offers classes with personal trainers along with a spa that features a pool, sauna and steam bath. There is a restaurant with a variety of dinner options on-site as well. If you are looking for a familiar mid-range hotel in Glasgow, this would be it.
