Built in 1974 in intricate, South Indian style, this white marble complex extends over 60 acres in Mehrauli and contains more than 20 individual temples. Chhatarpur Mandir is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Katyayani, the symbol of compassion and self-sufficiency, but within the site lie shrines to several other Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Read less

Built in 1974 in intricate, South Indian style, this white marble complex extends over 60 acres in Mehrauli and contains more than 20 individual temples. Chhatarpur Mandir is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Katyayani, the symbol of compassion and self-sufficiency, but within the site lie shrines to several other Hindu Gods and Goddesses.
The temple is easily accessible by buses, autos and taxis from the city, and can easily be combined with a visit to the Qutub Minar, four kilometres away.
