An Italian restaurant at Vivanta by Taj, Cuffe Parade, Trattoria is a good luxury dining option for those who have a soft corner for the gourmet versions of Italian staples. Signature dishes by Chef Ananda Solomon include Pizza Trattoria, Baked John Dory and Kobe Steak. In keeping with five star standards, the ambience here is suitably regal. Maple furniture and beige walls are complemented by wooden flooring and a colourful mural portraying Italian festivities. If you visit on a Sunday, try the Sunday brunch which features an exhaustive selection of antipasti, soups, mains and dessert. The highlight of their dessert counter is the luscious chocolate fountain. The dishes on the menu are largely sourced from Sicily, Pescara, Potenza and Bari. An open show kitchen allows visitors to watch the process of baking oak-flavoured pizzas. Make sure you try the crab soup with butternut squash and pasta with wild mushroom.
