Blue Bottle Cafe

Blue Bottle Cafe has grown into a nation-wide sensation with several locations, coffee carts, and pop up stalls serving their fresh brews. Originally established in Oakland, California, Blue Bottle Cafe roasts their own beans and vows to only sell, and use the finest beans that have been roasted within the past 48 hours to ensure maximum freshness and quality of taste. Like most of the established restaurants in San Francisco they also take their sourcing incredibly serious, and ensure that all their beans are ethically sourced from around the globe and up to a strict standard of quality and flavour.
This joint isn’t cheap, but the way that the staff takes care for their product and handcraft, each beverage is obvious and hard to deny. Therefore, paying a pretty penny for a cup of coffee ($4+) is a bit much, but so much better than spending the same at a chain store. Tucked away down an alleyway, the main Blue Bottle Cafe has a great ambience of chilled but bustling crowd. They also have food available which hits the spot for those looking for a bite to eat. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious. We recommend the frittata and bacon sandwich with arugula ($12).
