Aficionados of Levantine cuisine flock to Automatic for its consistently excellent rota of Lebanese classics. The restaurant has sit-down service, though many pop in to take the garlicky dips, juicy grilled meats, and fluffy shawarmas (pita-bread sandwiches) to go. Table service can be oddly formal (think waiters trussed up in bow ties), but whether the kebabs are served in-house or stuffed in a takeaway bag, the prices are refreshingly reasonable. Read less
