Sharky Bar

Sharky Bar is one of South East Asia’s oldest rock’n’roll bars. Up some stairs in a dark neighbourhood it looks every bit the part. Don’t be shy though, it’s places like this with deep histories that are the most interesting and entertaining to visit!
Sharky’s giant horseshoe bar circles the centre of the room, allowing the guys and girls serving in the centre to swing around and serve icy cold beers and standard mixers across the sticky wooden bench. On either side of the bar are pool tables - a staple in any decent late night drinking establishment. Beware though- some of those innocent looking local girls are actually vicious pool sharks and aren’t afraid to have you loose your money in a friendly game!

There is also a small stage that showcases some of Phnom Penh’s best live music- alternative rock, DJs, metal- they have it all! Keep an eye out on their facebook page or the classic chalkboard out the front for upcoming bands.
Despite being primarily a drinking hole, Sharky Bar also has a great food menu. It covers some basic asian food- mostly simple Thai or Khmer dishes thai- but also dips into some American classics like nachos, jalapeno poppers and cheesy fries. Food is great to be eaten inside along with a cold beer, or out on the patio where you can watch the world go by on the street below.
