Score Sports Bar & Grill

Phnom Penh might be a world away from the competitive sports that most people care about, but that doesn’t mean you need to miss the action. The city has a number of smaller sports bars showing English football, Australian rugby etc, but nowhere does it near the scale and fun of Score Bar.
Score is this city’s mecca for major sporting events—world cups, Superbowls, Olympics; this place can be packed if it’s a big event and service a little slow. But most Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday nights, it’s a great place to go, grab a table, order a tower of beer and some bar food, and to be surrounded by sports from all over the world and people passionate about them. Premier League is usually the king here, especially on Sundays when they often show 6 or 8 games at a time, with one game selected for the giant screen.

During the day, when the crowd isn’t there, it’s nice to sit at the bar and chat with the staff and regulars. If there is a sporting event involving England, Australia, New Zealand, France, Scotland or Ireland (all big expats groups in Phnom Penh), Score will usually be rocking. The burgers and pizzas coming out of the kitchen are quite good, and if you haven’t had a beer tower before, this is the place to do it.
Why go?
To watch just about any sport you can think of (if they aren’t showing it, ask the staff, they will usually find a TV for you).
