Meanwhile, as a precaution, the government authorities have issued safety alert in all the five districts. The state of the sea has been forecasted to be rough, owing to the influence exercised by the weather conditions.
Therefore, even the fishing community has been warned to keep away from the sea.
Reportedly, the southern half of Kerala may receive heavy rainfall, including Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Kochi, and Thrissur. Then after, rains are predicted to move northwards to Palakkad, Mallapuram, Kozhikode, Kasaragod, Wayanad, and Kannur.
Monsoon is also an ideal season to enjoy exploring Kerala. The vegetation and natural surroundings of God’s Own Country turn all the more alive when it rains. However, going by the current weather situation, tourists are advised to postpone their travel plans until heavy rains subside.
