As per the IMD, it is expected that Mumbai might remain comparatively dry over the next few days; however, north Konkan might experience moderate rain and partly cloudy skies. Pune might also record light rains during this time.
Head of IMD Pune Anupam Kashyapi said that two active monsoon impulses are moving in from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal as indicated by satellite pictures and prediction models. It is expected that both the systems are likely to pass through Maharashtra, especially via Vidarbha and Marathwada. Therefore, their effect will likely be intensified on the state. As of now, the ghat areas have been put on high alert since Friday evening.
