The registration process has already begun and those interested in participating and putting up a stall can start applying. The food event will take place on Mall Road in Mussoorie.
As per the Uttarakhand government, the main aim of this food festival is to promote local hill food. But it doesn’t mean that there won’t be any international dishes. The Uttarakhand Food Festival will be a delicious amalgamation of both local and international cuisines.
The festival will start from early morning and will go on till late evening, wherein an array of delicacies from both Kumaon and Garhwal regions would be prepared, served, and put on display.
Not only this, the event will also see a cooking competition. Popular names from the cooking world including Michael Swamy and Pankaj Badhaouria will be taking part in the competition. The two renowned chefs will judge the stalls during the food festival. The stalls will be judged on various categories including taste, hygiene, authenticity and decor.
In addition to all this, the food fest will also have workshops where interested people will be taught how to make various kinds of dishes. Tasting demonstrations, entertainment shows, and live music band performances are also a part of the festival.
