Interesting places in India you should visit in 2023
India is a land of diversity, with some of the world's richest variety in topography, history, culture, cuisine and more. The nation lures travellers from far and wide, and if you have stayed indoors for most of the past two years owing to COVID, it's time to set out again.
While there is no dearth of interesting places to visit in India, such as the seven states of Northeast India, we have lined up some interesting and easy options for you to choose from.
Andaman & Nicobar Islands
Some of India's most tranquil waters are here, all ready to be explored. When here, do go scuba-diving, snorkeling, surfing and more.
Gir National Park, Gujarat
Kalpa, Himachal Pradesh
A number of charming homestays and private cottages are present in Kalpa, and some quaint little eateries are also around.
Sambhar Salt Lake, Rajasthan
Let us introduce to Rajasthan's largest inland lake, Sambhar Salt Lake. 64 km from Ajmer and 300 km from Delhi, the lake is spread over 90 square kilometers. The lake also harbours flamingos in large numbers during the monsoons, and attracts bird-watchers and photographers from all over the country.
Kuno National Park, Madhya Pradesh
Kuno has to be on the list for sure, especially with the cheetahs from Namibia that have been introduced here. Other than the cheetahs, the sanctuary is also home to leopards, jackals, and chinkaras. It is spread over 900 square kilometers, and can be easily accessed from most parts of northern India.

Lamayuru, Ladakh
While Ladakh is a wonderland in itself, Lamayuru will take you by surprise. Its topography resembles the surface of the Moon, and it is thus known as the Moonland as well. It falls on the Leh-Kargil-Srinagar highway and the sheer magnificence of the landscape here will take you by surprise.
Munsiyari, Uttarakhand
Munsiyari sits prettily in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh district, and has been the great delight for those in perpetual love with the Himalayas. While the journey is slightly tough, it is worth it for the place offers awe-inspiring views of the Himalayas. Other than the views, Munsiyari is also the basecamp for a number of treks.
