The fog and biting cold winter prevailing in Delhi and its surrounding cities have been giving a hard time not only to the common man in carrying out day to day actions, but also causing disruption in the schedule and time table of trains.
Reportedly, several trains have been running up to four hours late. As revealed by the Northern Railway, train no. 12801 from Puri in Odisha to New Delhi was operating late by three hours and forty-five minutes. On the other hand, train no. 12397 from Gaya to New Delhi reached its destination late by three hours and forty minutes. The Chennai-New Delhi express was also late by a couple of hours.
Likewise, train no. 12303 Howrah to New Delhi, 12721 from Hyderabad to New Delhi) and 14017 from Raxaul to Anand Vihar were also delayed.
It is likely that trains will continue to run late even on Sunday and the coming Christmas week due to the dense fog.
