Terengganu Beach

Beach at Terengganu is small and quaint but in the evenings has an active life around it. The most vivid memory of the beach at Terrengganu that you will take back with you is the colourful horse drawn carriages. Each carriage was decorated in its own way and as they took the tourists around the beach for a ride they made them feel special for those moments. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a woman Tonga driver managing the Tonga with a kid along with her. There are various food stalls to eat and enjoy. The vegetarian in me could locate the roasted corn cob like our very own bhutta that was roasted on coal and tempered with mild spices. At another place there were kites lined up one above the other forming a thin veil in front of the sea. I loved the way these kites in different shades and colours were displayed inviting many to try their hands at kite flying. Like every beach, even this one looks lovely at sunset. The sea was very quite the day we were there and we did not see many tourists, the beach was dominated by local residents. Dark clouds added to the evening mood and we enjoyed watching little children making castles in sand – some things are just so universal across all beaches. Once the sun went down we were headed to the market close by for our dinner.
