Taj Mahal will soon remain open after sunset for all tourists. As of now, night access to this globally renowned monument was allowed only during five nights in a month. Referring to this, Union Tourism and Culture Minister Prahlad Singh Patel said that the Taj Mahal will now remain open beyond its usual public access time, i.e., 10 AM to 6 PM. He added that they have been receiving a lot of requests to keep the monument open during nights and that they are dedicated to turning this into a reality.
As per the new reports, the Tourism Ministry is also planning to illuminate the area around Taj Mahal and develop the infrastructure that will be necessary to manage the night rush. As of now, the Tourism Ministry is engaging with various departments to get clearances for the new plan.
