Switzerland Tourism recently held a road-show in India, attempting to improve tourism development in the country. The road-show was used to introduce attractions, experiences, and activities, and was held in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Delhi. With over 900 participants from the travel industry, the road-show featured hoteliers, mountain excursion companies, destination representatives, and other related people from the tourism industry of Switzerland.
Some of the new partners in the road-show included The Aletsch Arena, luxury hotel from Villars Chalet Royale, St. Moritz, Davos Klosters, Interlaken, Gstaad, Lucerne, and Lake Geneva.

Claudio Zemp said in a statement, “In terms of growth from India, we had a fantastic year with a year to date growth of 25.1% more overnights, Switzerland welcomed 23.9% more Indians in 2017 as compared to the same period in 2016. For the coming year, the country has a lot to offer in terms of adventure, food, cuisine, new unexplored destinations, and unique experiences. We are thankful to our partners for their continued support and we hope that we welcome more tourists for the upcoming season.”
Switzerland tourism is focussing currently on winter tourism, and is offering fun options such as skiing, sledging and snowboarding for travellers. Also, this being Christmas, one can enjoy the many Christmas markets that are open here during this time.
