One of the largest markets in Eastern Europe, the Riga Central Market opened in 1920 and has been a great spot for locals and tourists alike ever since. Partly covered and partly open-aired, here you will find everything from pickled eel to fresh local fruits and vegetables. Particularly striking are the huge hangers that descend from the ceiling.
