Nainital’s famous Naini Lake might soon have an adventure park adorning its 6.5 ac water body, The facility is likely to be open to tourists by the year-end. As per the news reports, this will include facilities for sitting areas, restaurants, toilet blocks, eating kiosks storerooms, and ticket windows. North Delhi Municipal Corporation is planning to develop this spot, the proposal of which was approved in the standing committee recently. Read less
Reportedly, the civic body has already given its nod to Delhi Tourism for the same. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will, however, be signed before starting the work. Referring to this, an official from the civic body mentioned that they have already presented the draft MoU, and things will be finalised soon.
The official also stated that no new construction will happen there. Pedal boats will also be available, which will be operated by tourists only; for their safety, lifeguards will also be present throughout the day.
