Dutch King and Queen on a 5-day India visit, will be visiting Delhi, Mumbai and Kerala

The Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima in India for 5 days and the royal couple would be visiting Delhi, Mumbai and Kerala. Since his ascension to the throne in 2013, this is his first Indian state visit with the queen. The couple is visiting India India to boost economic and political cooperation between the two countries.
King Willem-Alexander surprised everyone by co-piloting his own plane and was seen in the cockpit while landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. The king has a part-time flying job back in his country.

The Dutch family landed at the New Delhi airport and were welcomed in a very colourful traditional manner wherein Indian dancers and musicians showed their talented side. Indian President Ram Nath Kovind invited them to India and their stops include three destinations, namely New Delhi, Mumbai, and Kerala.
Praising India, King Williem said, “India is amazing, its hustle-bustle, they have vibrant technology innovations and it is an amazing place to do business.”

In Mumbai, the royals are expected to pay a visit to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Museum to see the 'Indo-Dutch interactions in the time of Rembrandt' exhibition. They’ll be reaching Mumbai on Wednesday and reach Kerala on Thursday.

A fact to notice here is that India and the Netherlands had a bilateral trade turnover of $12.9 billion last year. Also the Netherlands is the fifth largest investor in India. So this royal visit means a lot for both the countries.
