Nestled between Sandton and Rosebank, Melrose Arch is a part of the Northern end of Johannesburg and is yet another cosmopolitan neighbourhood with its shopping squares and cosy cafes. It is a pretty expensive cluster keeping in mind the presence of luxury properties like the Protea Hotel by Marriott Fire & Ice and The Winston Hotel. In terms of shopping, Truworths, Edgars and Woolworths, some of the most popular department stores in South Africa, can be found in Melrose Arch. If the weather is good, there is nothing quite like walking around its open-air piazzas, most of which are oddly reminiscent of European cities. Some of the classiest penthouses and apartments of Jo’burg can be found in this district and house the creme de la creme of locals. Popular dining options include Jamie's Italian and JB’s corner.
