Lucerne

Lucerne is one of the most popular cities in Switzerland, yet, it has very few characteristics of a city. When in Lucerne, one cannot possibly miss visiting the Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument and riding up to the peaks of Rigi, Pilatus and Titlis. With Zurich being the closest, regular Inter City/Inter Regio trains connect Lucerne to major Swiss cities. While most of Lucerne is pedestrianized, city buses are frequent and cheap.
