A low-danger avalanche warning has been issued by the authorities in Jammu and Kashmir. All the high altitude regions in several districts have been warned already and residents are advised to take safety preventive measures.
He also informed that this warning is largely for high-altitude places such as Gulmarg, Kulgam, Gurez, Furkian-Z Gali, Bandipora, Chowkibal-Tangdhar, Badgam, Ganderbal and Baramulla. Srinagar-Jammu National Highway might also be affected. The warning is issued for next 24 hours.

Apart from the above mentioned places, warning was also issued for Kargil and Leh (Ladakh region). Poonch, Doda, Udhampur, Reasi, Ramban and Rajouri in Jammu have also been warned of the same and have been asked to stay alert in case something happens.
The spokesperson told that people living in all these regions have been asked to take precautionary measures by the disaster management authority in the state.
The high altitude regions are more prone to avalanche and it has caused severe damages in the state of Jammu and Kashmir earlier too. So, anyone planning a trip to Jammu and Kashmir must rest their plan for some time and plan it sometime later!
