Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport has now initiated a Face Recognition system. The system has been implemented for passengers on a trial basis, starting on July 1 and will continue until July 31. According to reports, more than 180 passengers had voluntarily enrolled in the face recognition trial on the first day.
If you want to enroll for the facial recognition system, you can do so by registering your name with a valid government ID card and contact details, at registration counters of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. You will then get your face captured by the camera.
The trials can be taken by passengers travelling to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, and Vijayawada. An exclusive face recognition e-gate is also available at departures so that passengers can get their boarding card scanned here, and face the camera for verification. The e-gate opens up when your verification is complete, and your identity is confirmed.
