Glasgow Green is one of the city’s oldest parks, as it has been around since the year 1662 and is certainly worthy of a visit. There are more than a few worthy things to see and do in this park. First up, do not miss out on visiting the People’s Palace, a museum that was built in the late 1800s that focuses on showing how the trade and industry developed in the city. The Winter Gardens located at the back of the Palace are stunning to walk through and feature an impressive number of flowers and plants. The world’s largest terracotta fountain sits in this park as well and measures over 46 ft high and 70 ft across. Other monuments and sculptures are located throughout the park. If you get lucky with a sunny day in the city, we highly recommend heading here with a picnic and enjoying the day.
