The Safe Cities Index 2019 has revealed something astonishing. New Delhi and Mumbai are among the safest cities in the world! The study has shown that only two Indian cities have made it to the list of 60 most safe cities in the world, with Tokyo leading the pack. Read less
The Safe Cities Index 2019 has revealed something astonishing. New Delhi and Mumbai are among the safest cities in the world! The study has shown that only two Indian cities have made it to the list of 60 most safe cities in the world, with Tokyo leading the pack.
As far as India is concerned, Mumbai is ranked at 45th position, while New Delhi grabs the 52nd spot. It has however noted that 49 per cent of residents in New Delhi reside in informal settlements. New Delhi and Mumbai have both ranked 47th in terms of Digital Security; Mumbai ranked 50th, while New Delhi ranked 51st in terms of Health Security; Mumbai ranked 50th, while New Delhi ranked 57th in terms of Infrastructure Security; and in Personal Security, Mumbai ranked 37th, while New Delhi ranked 41st.
Tokyo topped the Digital Security segment; Osaka topped the Health Security segment; Singapore topped the Infrastructure Security segment; Singapore topped the Personal Security segment.
