EU Film Festival to showcase 24 European movies in 11 Indian cities

The European Union Film Festival (EUFF), which aims at boosting cultural ties between European countries and India, will be screening 24 latest European movies from around 23 European countries in India. The 24 selected films from 23 European nations will traverse through 11 cities in the country. People from cities such as New Delhi, Port Blair, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad, Puducherry, Pune, Thrissur will be able to watch these fine films; these will be screened from June 18 to August 31.
EUFF 2018 will bring together some of the most riveting films from Europe. As per an official release from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the EUFF intends to celebrate diversity of the participating countries and will bring to you movies from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden.
Also, as an initiative to promote ties between India and European countries, this year will see students, audience and filmmakers get more opportunities to interact with famous personalities including Katarína Krnáčová (Slovakian producer), Salvatore Alloca (Italian Director), Paula Ortiz (Spanish Director), Yannis Korris (Greek Director), Ádám Fekete (Hungarian Actor), and Douglas Boswell (Belgium Director) who will be in India for the festival.

The festival was recently inaugurated by India’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore in New Delhi at Siri Fort Auditorium. While addressing the fest, he said, “The platform connects the people of both the countries emotionally, bringing joy and providing opportunities to experience different cultures.”
