Allahabad Museum to go extra mile to host visitors of Prayag Kumbha Mela

Allahabad Museum will be making special preparation to attract more and more devotees and tourists coming to participate in the Prayag Kumbha Mela, which is scheduled to take place in January 2019. Since it is expected that crores of people will be visiting the place during the Kumbha, the museum will be opening a ticket counter at the Kumbha Mela in its camp.
Allahabad Museum Director Sunil Gupta, referring to this move, said that the ticket counter will distribute tickets that will have validity of three days, which will enable people to visit Allahabad Museum any time during those days.

He further stated that during the Prayag Kumbha Mela in 2013, around 47,000 people visited Allahabad Museum, which has led to the expectation that the upcoming Kumbha Mela would attract more than a lakh people to the museum. He also informed that the Allahabad Museum will undergo renovation and modernise its Central Hall and Gallery 4, which houses textiles, decorative arts and modern paintings. Seminars will also be organised in the pandal of the museum during the Kumbha Mela, wherein visitors can also participate.
During the mela, people visiting the Allahabad Museum will also be able to watch documentary films and buy replicas and paintings from the exhibition.
Allahabad Museum is gearing up to host the visitors in the best possible way, and it is highly expected that the Prayag Kumbha Mela will give visitors an opportunity to explore the museum as well during the same time.
