A senior official in the know-how stated that the purpose of this fest is to provide ample shopping opportunities for fragrance lovers, who are interested in a variety of Indian perfumes, Itra, dhoopbattis, aggarbattis, scented candles, essential oils, and other scented products.
Referring to this fest, the official also added that the festival will also host lectures of itra, sugandhi, and aromatherapy. One can also witness the art of making a handmade leather bottle (kuppi), which will be revealed at this festival. Then there will be some local and cultural activities to entertain visitors during the evening hours, whereas kids will be able to enjoy amusement rides.
This sole endeavour of Delhi Tourism to organise this festival is to preserve this age-old tradition and to offer an opportunity to explore the traditional aromas of India. Further, this three-day festival will start from 12 noon and go on till 10 pm.
