Weather in Delhi: NCR turns coldest in 12 years, gives travel goals to citizens

Delhi’s temperature manages to break its own record every year in winter, and this year is no exception. Recently, on Sunday, Delhi touched the 3.7 degrees Celsius mark, the coldest temperature in December in the past 12 years! Reportedly, moderate fog cover in Delhi reduced the visibility in the national capital.
According to the news reports, it was on December 29, 2007, that the Met department recorded the second lowest minimum temperature at 3.9 degrees Celsius as far as the weather data of Delhi in the bygone 12 years is concerned. The minimum temperature on Sunday was about four degrees below the average temperature recorded this winter. Going by the Met data, the lowest temperature in Delhi till date was recorded on December 26, 1945, at 1.1 degrees Celsius.

A Met official told the press that the weather in Delhi is expected to remain slightly cloudy and hazy.
