Weather forecast for Delhi-NCR is off the charts, as Thursday evening saw rain and hailstorm hit the region. The Indian Meteorological Department had, in fact, predicted the change in weather conditions for February 6 and 7.
As per the forecast from the Meteorological Department of India, Friday will also see black clouds over Delhi-NCR. The sky would, however, remain clear for some time, but there is a possibility of rain. However, no further hail storm has been predicted. Besides Delhi-NCR, rain is expected in areas including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana.
Yesterday, hail storms created a ruckus in Delhi NCR, as traffic was largely affected, especially in Noida.
Due to the weather conditions in Delhi NCR, fourteen domestic and four international flights were diverted from the Delhi airport in the evening.
One good thing that has happened as a result of the rain and hail storm is that the air quality in Delhi NCR improved to “moderate” levels on Thursday. This has happened due to western disturbances, scattered rain, and the high speed of wind.
