Anupgarh Fort, Rajasthan

Anupgarh fort is located in Sri Ganganagar District state of Rajasthan. Anupgarh is one of the few towns in Rajasthan that is located close to the Indo-Pak border. The river Ghaggar flows through this destination, thus, making it a fertile place for agriculture.
The fort was made by a Mughal governor to suppress the local Bhati Rajputs that were retaliating against the Mughal government. Although, it has lost its beauty to the ravages of time, nonetheless, it still evokes interest of those who like studying history and craftsmanship of former times. The ruined fort is a good example of the architectural excellence of the Mughal era.

It is said that Anupgarh was formerly known by the name Chugher.
