Bringing internet facilities to the masses, one of the leading network operators in India has recently launched 4G internet services in Kargil, Dras, and other areas of Leh. The initiative has come from Airtel which claims that 130 towns and villages would be able to enjoy high speed internet services, which would come at an affordable price. The villages include Kargil, Leh, and Dras, coming as a respite in an otherwise remote region.

The 4G services in Ladakh region will now not only help locals to surf the high-speed internet, but also allow travellers to access fast internet. Some of the popular tourist spots covered under the 4G coverage are the Kargil War Memorial, Magnetic Hill, Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Lamayuru Monastery, Moon Land Lamayuru, Sakti towards Pangong Lake, Stok Palace and Hall of Fame.
