Police said that the case was registered after Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) asked Delhi Police to take appropriate legal action.

The police on Tuesday arrested a person for allegedly putting Khalistan related slogans on the wall of his house.

Carrying the tricolour and placards, protesters raised the slogan "Bharat humara swabhiman hai (India is our pride)" and said that they will not tolerate any insult to the national flag.

Pro-Khalistan slogans were discovered at Delhi metro stations, triggering a police investigation. The slogans were allegedly written by supporters of the banned Sikh separatist group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ). Similar incidents have occurred in the past. Indian laws such as Sections 153A and 505 of the Indian Penal Code criminalize such actions, aiming to maintain public tranquility and prevent incitement of violence or communal tension.

Delhi Police has started a probe into the matter and said that it is taking legal action.

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday said the state has inputs of "some unwanted elements" raising slogans threatening the Prime Minister. He was commenting on reports of pro-Khalistani slogans in the ongoing protests by farmers on Delhi border.

Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has threatened Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann with "political death" starting August 31, the anniversary of Beant Singh's assassination. SFJ chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun had previously threatened Mann and the Punjab DGP.

Delhi Police's special cell has arrested an operative of the secessionist group Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) who painted pro-Khalistani graffiti in Delhi and Haryana. The operative, identified as Malak Singh, was acting on the instructions of SFJ chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. The arrest has prevented potential incidents on the day of the World Cup final. Malak was promised a hefty payment in dollars and a US visa for completing the tasks. He had been inclined towards the Khalistani ideology since his teenage years and had gained Pannun's trust.

NIA has chargesheeted Inderpal Singh Gaba, an Indian-origin UK national, for his role in last year's violent protests at the Indian High Commission in London. The protests were organized to support Amritpal Singh, chief of pro-Khalistan outfit Waaris Punjab De. Gaba was arrested on April 25 after being detained earlier by Indian immigration authorities.

The vandalism involved smashing windshields and scribbling pro-Khalistan slogans. Measures are being taken to safeguard buses and passengers, including potentially suspending some routes.

The Indian government has requested evidence from the US authorities under the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty in relation to the San Francisco consulate case. The case involves 45 people who were identified in an attack on the Indian consulate in San Francisco. Pro-Khalistani entities trespassed into the consulate and attempted to set it on fire, raising slogans, damaging the building, and injuring officials. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has registered a case and conducted further investigations, including a visit to San Francisco by a team of NIA officials.

Members of Khalistani separatists desecrated the statue of Mahatma Gandhi during a protest organised by Sikh-American youths in support of farmers who are protesting against the recently enacted agri laws in India. Hundreds of Sikhs from in and around Greater Washington DC area, Maryland and Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania etc on Saturday carried out a car rally.

The Indian community in the UK rallied in London, displaying solidarity after the Pahalgam terror attack and countering a protest by pro-Khalistani and Pakistani groups outside the Indian High Commission. Waving the Indian flag and chanting anti-terrorism slogans, the diaspora condemned the attack that killed 26 civilians. The demonstration was organised as a powerful rebuttal to the anti-India rally, which was organised by fringe separatist elements.

A large number of Indian-American community members held a peace rally in support of India in front of its consulate in San Francisco that was vandalised by separatist Sikhs early this week. Raising pro-Khalistan slogans, the protesters broke open the makeshift security barriers raised by the city police and installed two so-called Khalistani flags inside the Consulate premises. Two consulate personnel soon removed these flags.

The Delhi High Court upheld the arrest of Inder Pal Singh Gaba, accused of participating in the March Khalistani protests at the Indian High Commission in London. Gaba was apprehended under UAPA charges for his alleged involvement in the protests where the Indian flag was desecrated.
