Newborns were sold for up to Rs 3.20 lakh, with agents pocketing substantial profits. Babies were trafficked across multiple states, highlighting a well-established syndicate.

Banaskantha LCB has arrested three more individuals, including two key women agents of the 'Murugan Gang' and a father who sold his newborn, bringing the total arrests to 10 in an inter-state child trafficking racket. The gang targeted infertile couples, selling trafficked newborns for high prices, with agents earning substantial commissions.
