The Uttar Pradesh police arrested two people they claimed were part of an international drug trafficking gang and recovered brown sugar worth Rs. 25 crore. The two men, Budhan Paswan of Bihar and manish yadav of Barabanki, were arrested from Ayodhya Highway under Ram Sanehi Ghat Police Station on Thursday. Vishal Singh, the additional superintendent of police for the Uttar Pradesh State Crime Records Bureau, said for the past several days the Uttar Pradesh State Intelligence Bureau (UPSTF) had been receiving information about drug smugglers from different states operating in Barabanki. Based on this information, local police were alerted and it made deployments on all possible routes. They found two suspects and rounded them up on being interrogated. Budhan said he takes drugs from one Javed alias Tabrez and delivers it to Nepal via Bihar.
