jenugoodu's Diya aka Nithya Gowda has quit the show midway. The actress will be making her last appearance in the upcoming episode of the daily soap as Diya.

The latest show to conclude its story is 'Jenugudu'. The show revolves around the protagonists Shashank and Diya, who reluctantly get married but eventually grow closer.

Arav Surya, who plays Shashank in the TV show Jeenugoodu, has spoken about his love for the concept of a joint family, which is central to the programme's storyline. He said that playing a family-orientated character had helped him connect with it, and that filming reminded him of his own happy childhood with relatives.

Veteran actor Jayanthi, who had acted in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam movies died in her sleep on Monday, said the family members. She was 76. Her son Krishna Kumar confirmed that she had been recovering from prolonged illnesses but finally lost the battle.
