Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing is investigating fraudulent GST transactions totaling approximately Rs 141 crore. Three cases involve identity theft, where PAN card details and former firm credentials were misused to obtain fraudulent GST registrations and facilitate high-value tax irregularities. Investigations are ongoing into these alleged financial crimes.

India successfully repatriated two fugitives, Kamlesh Parekh and Aalok Kumar, from the UAE. Parekh, involved in a Rs 2,672 crore banking fraud, was brought to Kolkata. Kumar, a key figure in a passport forgery racket, was handed over to Haryana police in Mumbai. Both were apprehended following Interpol Red Notices.

The CBI, in coordination with MEA and MHA, has successfully extradited Kamlesh Parekh from the UAE to India. Parekh is accused of a large-scale banking fraud causing hundreds of crores in losses to a bank consortium led by SBI. He allegedly diverted funds through overseas entities using fraudulent practices.

West Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Manish Kumar has ordered a probe into the alleged unauthorized withdrawal of approximately Rs 45 lakh from police department salary accounts. A police constable has been detained for interrogation, and personnel from the police accounts section are also being questioned. A special accounting team from the state police headquarters has arrived to investigate the fraudulent transactions.

Crime Branch apprehended two individuals from Darjeeling in connection with a massive Rs 5.14 crore online fraud. The duo allegedly facilitated the transfer of a significant portion of the defrauded funds through their accounts. This arrest follows earlier captures in Gujarat and Assam, as investigators work to dismantle the entire fraudulent investment network and recover the remaining stolen money.
