Dineout is a restaurant table booking platform started by Ankit Mehrotra, Vivek Kapoor, Nikhil Bakshi and Sahil Jain. The company was founded in 2012 and currently, it's based in New Delhi, India. The company was acquired by the Times Internet Limited, a part of Times of India Group, in 2014.

The users can make restaurant reservations online through Dineout's website (http://dineout.co.in), Android app and iOS App, or their concierge desk. The company also offers exclusive deals and discounts at more than 40,000 restaurants across the country.

The company also offers a premium feature called Dineout Plus primarily targeting the Premium Dining Section. It entitles subscribers to exclusive discounts at over 250 five-star restaurants.

On-demand convenience platform Swiggy on Friday said it has entered into a definitive agreement with Times Internet to acquire dining out and restaurant tech platform dineout for an undisclosed sum. dineout, which serves diners across its network of 50,000 restaurants in 20 cities, will continue to operate as an independent app post the acquisition, Swiggy said in a statement.
