Deepak Sharma

Deepak Sharma is a resident of Hathras district in Uttar Pradesh, India, who became famous through a viral internet video. Sharma who claims to be from Jaipur city in Rajasthan, started trending on social media as a violent and abusive vigilante after he uploaded a video of himself assaulting a boy for making 'objectionable memes'. When questioned, he stated that the video was actually a "film" and like actors in films, he was just trying to deliver a "message" by thrashing the youngster. He told the film was made to show what could happen if anyone trolls or hurts religious sentiments of people. A self-proclaimed guardian of religion, Sharma can be seen sporting a tilak and saffron stole in his viral videos.
