In a recent ruling, the allahabad high court underlined that only constitutional office-holders such as Members of Parliament, judges, and ministers are permitted to be referred to as 'Honourable.' The court clarified that civil servants, regardless of their rank, do not receive this distinction. This title is strictly designated for individuals performing sovereign duties across the three branches of government.
