'Gandhada Gudi' is a exploratative, one-of-a-kind documentary film about the wild and marine life of Karnataka. Puneeth Rajkumar joins director Amoghavarsha J.S. on a journey through the most vibrant and picturesque locales of the vast state as they explore and soak in its history and richness.

It was because of his passion for travel, adventure and his state that late Puneeth Rajkumar chose to collaborate with Wild Karnataka fame filmmaker Amoghavarsha for Gandhada Gudi.

'Reportedly', Puneeth had two title options for the film, namely 'Gandhada Gudi' and 'Ondu Muttina Kathe' (both being titles of Dr. Rajkumar's major hits), but the team eventually zeroed in on the former.

Showcasing Karnataka's rich biodiversity has been a proud task for both music man Ricky Kej and wildlife photographer Amoghavarsha. This pride is inherent in their collaborative effort, a music video featuring all that abounds Karnataka's wild and verdant landscape ranging from the Daroji Bear Sanctuary near Hampi to the lush green Western Ghats.

Music director Ajaneesh B Loknath is right now in the center of focus as he's on a success streak for his works in 'Vikrant Rona', 'Guru Shishyaru', and 'Kantara' making all the right noises. However, Ajaneesh's next eagerly awaited work is none other than 'Gandhada Gudi' with the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar. 'Gandhada Gudi', Ajaneesh’s first collaboration with Puneeth is a docu-drama directed by wildlife photographer Amoghavarsha and is slated for a theatrical release on October 28.

The duo also touches upon environmental concerns around plastic use, water conservation and deforestation.

Actress Samyuktha Hornad has showered praise on director Amoghavarsha's recently released Kannada film, 'Gandhada Gudi', which happens to be the last film of Kannada star late Puneeth Rajkumar.

Puneeth Rajkumar's last outing on the big screen was the docu-feature directed by Amoghavarsha, 'Gandhada Gudi' has completed 100 days on February 5th since its release on October 28th. On this happy occasion, a park in Jayanagar 4th T Block has been named 'Gandhada Gudi' in memory of Puneeth Rajkumar, who spread the message about the importance of the environment through the documentary and the message has reached people immensely through Puneeth Rajkumar.

Shivarajkumar attended the pre-release event of the late Puneeth Rajkumar's 'Gandhada Gudi' on Friday, October 21, and paid an emotional tribute to his brother. Shivarajkumar said that Puneeth will always be there in his heart and added that he is a fan of his dancing style. He further thanked all those who had attended the event and celebrated Puneeth's Puneeth's legacy. 'Gandhada Gudi' is a docudrama, directed by filmmaker and wildlife photographer Amoghavarsha JS.

The wildlife film ‘Wild Karnataka’ will hit the big screen on January 17.

Puneeth’s wife, Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar took to her official Twitter handle to share the release update of her late husband Puneeth’s dream project. She penned a heartfelt note along with the release date saying that ‘Gandhada Gudi’ is Appu’s (Puneeth Rajkumar) last film that showcases a journey to explore the wonderful world of Karnataka.

Puneeth Rajkumar's documentary film 'Gandhada Gudi' had a star-studded pre-release event on Friday, October 21. Celebrities from many other industries also graced the event showing the love and respect they have for Puneeth. Yash who attended the event with his wife Radhika Pandit wished the makers of 'Gandhada Gudi' good luck and said that he wants to see the docudrama outperform 'KGF Chapter 2' at the box office.
