Bollywood diva Sridevi is all set to make her Tamil film comeback with Vijay's fantasy drama 'Puli' after a gap of more than two decades.

Janhvi Kapoor feels closer to her late mother, Sridevi, by working in the South Indian film industry. Set to make her Telugu debut with Jr NTR in "Devara" and star alongside Ram Charan, Kapoor felt it was the right time to venture into South cinema. Known for Hindi films like "Dhadak" and "Gunjan Saxena," Kapoor says working in the South allows her to connect with her mother's legacy, recalling Sridevi's extensive work in Tamil and Telugu films. Sridevi, who passed away in 2018, shared the screen with legends like Chiranjeevi and NT Rama Rao. Kapoor admires the charisma and conviction of South Indian cinema, a sentiment nurtured by her producer father Boney Kapoor's passion for Tamil and Telugu films. Her latest release, "Mr. & Mrs. Mahi," co-starring Rajkummar Rao, debuted on May 31 and received mixed reviews. The film is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Dharma Productions.

Rajesh Khanna, who is famously known as the 'Kaka' of Hindi cinema, enthralled audiences with his versatile acting skills.

Sridevi started acting at the age of four and made her debut with M A Thirumugham's 'Thunaivan'. She continued acting in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films but it was her career in Bollywood that made her a household name in the country.
