The Games, which began with a vibrant celebration across iconic Italian venues like San Siro Stadium, will now conclude on Sunday, 22 February 2026. Organizers promise a regal farewell that matches the scale and spirit of the spectacular opening night held on February 6.

The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina will officially end on Sunday, February 22. NBC Sports has confirmed that Terry Gannon, Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir will guide viewers through the Closing Ceremony. The event begins at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time. A recap show titled “Best of Milan Cortina” will air at 5 p.m., and a primetime replay is scheduled for 9 p.m.

China’s snowboard star Su Yiming will carry his country’s flag at the closing ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. The 22-year-old earned the honor after winning the men’s snowboard slopestyle gold medal and a big air bronze during the Games. His slopestyle victory also brought China its first gold medal of the Milano Cortina edition.

According to BoxOfficeReport, "Immaculate" earned an estimated $5.36 million in its domestic debut from 2,354 locations. With a budget of $9 million, the film has already recouped half of its production costs, indicating a promising future as one of the year's standout independent hits. Despite facing tough competition from blockbusters like "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" and "Dune: Part 2," "Immaculate" secured the fourth spot on the box office chart.

Anuparna Roy made history at the Venice Film Festival, securing Best Director in the Orizzonti Competition for 'Songs of Forgotten Trees,' presented by Anurag Kashyap. The film, the only Indian title in the section, portrays the lives of two migrant women in Mumbai. Other notable winners included Jim Jarmusch for Golden Lion and Benny Safdie for Silver Lion Best Director.
