Many major manufacturers have begun making preparations to launch their latest smartphones with different focuses ranging from pacy performance and display quality to battery endurance and picture quality. OnePlus is set to roll out the Turbo 6 series of smartphones in China. Realme and Oppo are preparing their latest offerings in India. Another giant is launching its largest-capacity battery phone called the Power 2 in the Indian market. Simultaneously, other key manufacturers such as Xiaomi, Poco, and Samsung would launch their devices as well.

OnePlus Turbo 6 Series
As per Chinese social media reports, OnePlus enthusiasts can anticipate the Turbo 6 series debuting in China with models including the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V. The standard Turbo 6 will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a 1.5K display with a 165Hz refresh rate, and a massive 9,000mAh battery supporting 80W wired and 27W reverse wired charging. The Turbo 6V will include a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC. Colour options for the series include Light Chaser Silver, Lone Black, Wild Green, Fearless Blue, and Nova White, with up to 16GB RAM and 12GB storage.
Honor Power 2
The Honor Power 2 is designed for users prioritising long battery life. Equipped with a massive 10,080mAh battery, the device supports up to 22 hours of short-video playback and 14.2 hours of gaming on a single charge. It also offers 80W wired and 27W reverse charging. The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite processor and is rumoured to include a 6.79-inch LTPS flat display with 1.5K resolution and 8,000 nits peak brightness. The rear camera setup features a 50MP main sensor, accompanied by a 16MP front camera. Colour variants include Black, Orange, and White.
Oppo Reno 15 Series
Oppo’s Reno 15 Series is expected to include Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Mini. The phones will feature Aerospace-Grade Aluminium frames and HoloFusion Technology. The Pro model will sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while the Pro Mini and standard Reno 15 will come with slightly smaller displays and advanced glass protection. The devices will be available in multiple colours, including Cocoa Brown, Sunset Gold, Glacier White, Twilight Blue, and Aurora Blue. All models will feature IP66 + IP68 + IP69 protection.
Realme 16 Pro Series
Realme is all set to kick-start the year 2026 with the Realme 16 Pro series, launching their Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro Plus on January 6th. These two devices are known for their focus on designs that are top-class and their camera capabilities, which are top-notch and boast a camera sensor with an incredible 200 megapixels. Additionally, the Pro Plus variant also has a periscope telephoto camera sensor of 50 megapixels. These devices are known for their camera modules that sport an all-metal design, with the Realme 16 Pro Plus running on the power of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, whereas the Realme 16 Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity processor.
While the pricing information is yet to be announced, the Realme 16 Pro lineup is expected to be positioned above the Realme 15 series. Launching alongside the smartphones, the Chinese manufacturer is also expected to unveil the Realme Pad 3 in the Indian market, which is the next generation of the device that was launched in July 2023. The device boasts a battery capacity of 12,200mAh and comes with a 2.8K display along with AI-based functionality and more.
Redmi Note 15
Redmi is planning a strong start to 2026 with the launch of the Redmi Note 15 5G, also scheduled for January 6, coinciding with Realme’s 16 Pro series release. A key addition to Xiaomi’s popular Note lineup, the Note 15 5G features a 108-megapixel primary camera with 4K video recording, a slim 7.35mm body, and a curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The device runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and is backed by a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, while pricing remains under wraps, following the Redmi Note 14’s launch at Rs 17,999. Along with the phone, Redmi will also unveil the Pad 2 Pro 5G in India, offering a QHD+ display, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, and a 12,000mAh battery, making it a feature-packed tablet for multimedia enthusiasts.
