Speaking at the “Human Cost of Terrorism” exhibition in Washington DC, India’s Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, underscored the deep impact of terrorism on India and the world. He referenced major attacks including the 1993 Mumbai blasts, the 2001 Parliament attack, 26/11, and the recent Pahalgam incident, drawing comparisons with the 9/11 attacks in the United States. Kwatra emphasised that India views terrorism as a lived reality shaped by decades of violence. He also highlighted a consistent pattern behind these attacks, pointing to Pakistan-based elements. Reaffirming India’s zero-tolerance policy, he called for stronger global cooperation to combat terrorism and ensure accountability worldwide.
