CHENNAI: Unseeded Indian duo Divij Sharan and Vishnu Varadhan scalped compatriots and top seeds Ashuthosh Singh and Sunil Kumar Sipeya in the deciding set in a thrilling doubles final in the ITF Futures Professional Tennis Championship here on Friday.
Sharan and Varadhan with a combined ranking of 2393 points won $945.
Sharan and Varadhan claimed the first set rather easily at 6-3 but were surprised in the second as Ashutosh in particular was flashy and made amends to his earlier mistakes to drift the match to the decider.

Though Sharan and Varadhan were playing a waiting game in the second set they lost 4-6. They, however, won the third set tie-break 10-7 for the title.
The singles final to be played on Saturday will be between the top two seeds, Peter Gojowczyk of Germany and Alexey Kedryuk of Kazakhstan.
In their respective semi-finals, Gojowczyk played like a champion to dispose of Yuichi Sugita 6-1, 6-1. The second match on the centre court evoked interest as Korean Hyun-Woo Nam frittered away chances against Kedryuk from a 4-2 lead in the first set and lost 6-7(6), 3-6.
Nam equipped with solid ground strokes broke Kedryuk in the third game but the Kazakh broke back in the eighth to level 4-4. Nam was serving for the set but Kedryuk came up with two superb winners and then never looked back to win the first set tie-break.
Kedryuk grew in confidence in the second and with two breaks in the 5th and 9th wrapped up the set and the match.
