Of course, one would not expect Shannon Sharpe, a Hall of Famer in the NFL and popular ESPN personality to be embroiled in something like what unfolded after some explicit video surfaced via live stream on his Instagram account. Meanwhile, the Hall of Famer denies the accusation, saying he has become the victim of a cyberattack.

Shannon Sharpe’s Controversial Video

Shannon Sharpe has been in the news ever since an explicit video surfaced on his Instagram account this Wednesday that raised eyebrows. The explicit clip has been making rounds across the internet, in which there appeared to be a steamy activity. On the other hand, Sharpe-former tight end and one of the greats of the game-which countered the claims of his involvement, saying that his social media account was hacked. The video, briefly posted before being taken down, only showed a woman's face, but the audio includes moaning from a female and explicit comments by a man that sounds like Sharpe. In the video, the man was overheard saying some provocative comments, like "Let me put this d**k in you," and "that's my Michelle." The woman in the video also seemed to be addressing the man as "Shannon." All that led to some serious speculation and conversations on multiple social media outlets.

Shannon Sharpe Breaks Silence On The Matter

After having the video pulled, Sharpe had an important warning for his 3.2 million followers in case they could be the target of such a cyberattack. The Hall of Fame tight end said he never streamed the video himself but was instead a victim of a hack job."Beware my @shannonsharpe84 Instagram was hacked this morning, my team and I are working vigorously to figure this out -- UNC," Sharpe said. Sharpe, 56, currently appears on ESPN's debate show First Take after joining the network following his exit from FS1's Undisputed. Outside of his work with ESPN, he hosts Club Shay Shay and Nightcap podcasts with fellow NFL legend Chad Ochocinco Johnson.Though the incident has raised controversy, Sharpe's great career as a footballer is still noteworthy to mention. Being a three-time Super Bowl champion with two in the Denver Broncos and one in the Baltimore Ravens, he is regarded by many as one of the greatest tight ends ever to have played in the NFL. His impressive accolades include eight Pro Bowl selections, four first-team All-Pro selections, a member of the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team, and many more. The disturbing nature of this video did little to alter Sharpe's contention that he was a target of cybercriminals. This message will be remembered about how vulnerable a person is in today's digital world, even with the case of public eyes.
