CHENNAI: Imagine you being in Chennai and your friend in New York. Both happen to be crazy cricket fans. How about both locking horns in a real time multiplayer T20 'Super Over' clash? S Adithyaa, son of Kris Srikkanth and director Zealcity Studios, has come up with the world's first ever 3D cricket multiplayer battle game 'Cric Wars' in mobiles. The match is done and dusted in 120 seconds!
Facebook will act as the social platform connecting people across the globe.
1x1 polls
The concept is simple. Multiple players face an automated intelligence bowler at the same time. The player who scores the most out of six balls will be the winner.
"Anyone with an Android/IOS phone and data connection can download the game in Playstore. Multiple players can login through Facebook at the same time or as a guest and challenge their friends or any other player who has downloaded the application in a Super Over. People are so busy these days, we wanted to pack every innovation in less than two to three minutes. This is not just for kids. It is for every cricket fan who has a basic smart phone," Adithyaa, who had launched 'Cricket Career' game last year, said.
There are numerous cricket games available in the market. But what's special about this one? "Every shot in the game is motion captured. You can unleash a range of shots such as switch hit, helicopter shot, Dilscoop and more. There are rewards to be won. Like double-wicket concept, if you lose a wicket you are docked of three runs. You can share the match results in social media. Our idea is to ensure that the whole experience is unique and enjoyable," he added.
Interestingly, former India cricketer Srikkanth has lent his voice as commentator for the application in six regional languages. You can choose English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu or Kannada to keep yourself entertained. "It's an innovative concept and I loved the entire idea. I can assure you this will be fun. You would feel as if you are playing in the real ground with a commentator explaining the action. I'm sure, youth will like this," Srikkanth said. Most importantly, the application can be downloaded free of cost.
