Will Josh Allen play against the Denver Broncos today? Latest injury update on the popular Bills’ quarterback
Josh Allen is set to play for Buffalo despite multiple injuries, giving the Bills stability at quarterback heading into their divisional round showdown with the Denver Broncos.
Josh Allen is dealing with a lot right now. But if you’re wondering whether the Buffalo Bills’ quarterback is playing against the Denver Broncos in the divisional round, the answer is simple: yes. Allen practiced fully on Wednesday and Thursday and carries no injury designation into Saturday’s 4:30 p.m. ET playoff matchup. That comes straight from multiple reports, including the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle and ESPN.This isn’t a minor update either. Allen was listed with knee, foot, and right finger injuries earlier in the week. He was limited during Tuesday’s walk-through. Then he returned to full practice the next two days. The Bills are leaning on that trend, and Allen made it clear himself. “I feel good,” Allen said on Tuesday. “Honestly, I feel better than I have the last few weeks.”

Josh Allen is set to start his 137th straight game for Buffalo

Allen’s durability has been one of the most reliable storylines of Buffalo’s season. Saturday’s divisional round game will mark his 137th consecutive start, including 122 regular-season and 15 playoff games. That is the longest active streak among NFL quarterbacks.
The foot injury goes back to Week 16 against the Cleveland Browns. Allen took X-rays after that game, and they came back negative. He aggravated the same issue in Week 17 against the Philadelphia Eagles but did not miss any meaningful time.
The knee and right finger injuries are more recent. Both happened during Buffalo’s wild-card win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Allen briefly entered concussion protocol after a first-quarter hit. Later, he jammed his throwing hand on a follow-through that struck the helmet of guard O’Cyrus Torrence. He also tweaked his left knee on a 2-yard touchdown run. None of those injuries forced him to miss a snap.Tight end Dawson Knox summed up how the team views Allen’s toughness. “Call him Superman, like, Wolverine, whatever you want to say,” Knox said. “I’ve seen him take so many crazy hits and bruises and get his knee twisted and hit his finger on a helmet and that would take most guys out, and he’s dealing with multiple of those things and not even missing a play.”

When and how to watch Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos in the divisional round

The Bills and Broncos meet Saturday in Denver with a trip to the AFC Championship Game on the line. Denver enters as the top seed after a 14-3 regular season under head coach Sean Payton, while Buffalo is chasing a rare Super Bowl path without Kansas City standing in the way.
  • Date: Saturday, Jan. 17
  • Time: 4:30 p.m. ET
  • TV: CBS
  • Streaming: Paramount+
  • Location: Empower Field at Mile High, Denver
Allen and the Bills will face a Denver defense that thrives at home, where altitude and crowd noise routinely test visiting quarterbacks. Buffalo’s margin for error remains thin, especially with injuries at wide receiver, but their most important player will be under center.
