George Kittle crossed paths with his wife, Claire Kittle, when the two ended up at the University of Iowa together in 2012.


While George Kittle focused on his career to be drafted in the NFL, Claire Kittle was also a popular athlete.

George Kittle’s wife, Claire Kittle, was a popular basketball player at Wahlert Catholic High School. She continued her passion for basketball even at the University of Iowa and ended up playing for the Hawkeyes for four years.

While things looked bright for Claire Kittle’s future, she ended up sustaining a brutal knee injury in her senior year at the University of Iowa which crushed her dreams.

George Kittle’s wife, Claire Kittle, had opened up about her injury in 2017 as she wrote, "Without awful knees I know I would have accomplished more on the basketball court, but because of the trials my knees brought, I am the strongest person I know…”

When Claire Kittle gave up on her passion for basketball, she started a personal training business called Claire Till Fitness in Iowa, a few years ago.

Her passion towards fitness also led her to join her first bikini fitness competition.


George Kittle’s wife, Claire Kittle, wrote about her experience on social media as, "I left that venue with a sense of accomplishment and I was damn proud of myself. I may not have ended up #1, but that's not the point. I gave it my all and learned an incredible amount through the process…"

George Kittle and Claire Kittle had two weddings in two different years

George Kittle and Claire Kittle fell in love soon and after dating for several years, the two decided to elope in 2019 and got married privately.

Later, in 2021, in the middle of the pandemic, the two held an intimate wedding where they were joined by their friends and family members.
